YES… MY ROOM HAS A STRIPPER POLE IN IT! For that reason alone, I give ir a Hell yes! rating. It’s called the Aparthotel Stare Miasto. Just go stay here! Anyways…
KRAKOOOOOOWWWW!!!! It just sounds fun to say, doesn’t it? This was the next stop on my Eurodash. In an effort to save time, I took an overnight Flixbus from Budapest to Krakow. It was around 9 hours and I figured I would sleep the entire way, wakeup refreshed and ready to kill it. Yeah, like more perfect plans, mine totally got screwed! I wakeup somewhere in the middle of Slovakia and the bus is pulling over and running off to the side of the road. In the heavy snow, the driver got out and confirm my suspicions; we had a flat tire. It took him almost 2 hours to change the tire and even refused my offer to help him. No big deal, but I knew that I’d spend the rest of my day completely ass tired. Such is the travel life…
I hit the ground running once I got to the bus station. I had a lot of to cover in a short amount of time I was here. The stripper pole through me off though and I spent a little more time laughing about that than I had anticipated. I made out out though..
The city itself is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend that all of you spend the first half of your day there just walking around and taking in the culture. There was a light rain ,most of the time I spent there and it fit the scene perfectly. The beautiful horses were still carrying people,e around the city, shops were busy and the restaurants were full of locals and tourists alike. This is what I like to see; nothing stopping people from enjoying their lives. I see it way too often back home where a little weather will cancel plans because of a slight inconvenience.
I found a Museum of Illusion hiding in the corner of the city. It is well worth visiting! Can you tell which one is me in the picture? Where did I go??! There were a lot of neat exhibits you could mess around with and I easily spent a few hours here. Definitely a fun place that a lot of people dont think of going to!
Aaaaaaaand of course I found an aviation museum! Well, it found me and I had to go. Some of you know that I’m an Airline Pilot, so this come naturally to me.
I had a great time visiting the lovely city of Krakow. Would I recommend it? Yes, but I wouldn’t build my trip around coming here. It’s a nice city, but I feel like it should be combined into a bigger trip like I am doing. It’s worth a few days though!
Check it out and let me know what you think… and check out my instagram for more pics!
