SKIDIVE DUBAI!

How many of you have been skydiving? I want to hear in the comments about how it was and where you went. Would you do it again? So, this was my second time jumping out of a perfectly good airplane (there’s no such thing, so there’s that). The first time that I jumped out, I lost a bet. One of my flying students was a big skydiver and bet me that if he passed his test on the first try, I had to go with him. Well shit, I’ve never met a bet I didn’t like and guess who lost that one? Yep, yours truly! It had been a few months and I figured he would of forgotten about it, but he clearly did not and away we went. Fuuuuuck!

The picture below is from my first jump. I am smiling for 2 reasons; 1) I’m on the ground and 2) I have feeling back in my extremities after my panic-attack right before jumping out. Like most things in life, you have to do something TWICE before you can make a solid judgement about how you feel. Fast-forward 12 years and I made that happen…

First jump in 2008 – post panic attack

I had 48 hours in Dubai and I was determined to sign my life away as much as possible. The jump thee has been called the best in the world by many professional skydivers and I waas read for my JUMP REDEMPTION!!!

I planned this adventure much like I do the rest of them, I didn’t at all! I like to spin the roulette wheel and see where it lands. It’s been my calling card since I started traveling as a passion. My procrastination paid off!! They were completely full that day, but I did get a standby spot. The nice lady told me that quite a few people chicken out and give up there spot last minute, so I would probably be OK. Sure enough, she was right! My name was called..

Check out the palms! (1:00)

Throwing myself out of an airplane the second time was fucking unreal!! I didn’t have a panic attack and was able to enjoy the sick views of the palms and all of Dubai! I highly recommend everyone do this if you get a chance. You won’t regret it. Now, I have myself thinking about going a 3rd time and getting my AFF (Skydive license). That’s not good for me.. I have enough dangerous hobbies as it is!

Hope everyone is well and planning their next adventure!
